Join us on a guided ride along the Cooks River. Along the journey, your guides will point out how to access the Cooks River Cycleway from surrounding suburbs and how to access the rest of the city from the river. This is a relaxed and easy-paced 10-15 km bike ride.

Guided rides are led by friendly, professional group ride leaders from Pedal Set Go for the Cooks River Alliance.

You’ll need:

– Your own roadworthy bike and helmet

– Water bottle and snacks

The ride:

– Meet at Tempe Train Station Car Park at 9:30am

– Between 10-15km ~3 hours in length, with stops at interesting sections of the river

– 2 guides from Pedal Set Go will be on-hand

Suitable for beginners. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Share bikes and e-bikes welcome.

Getting there:

 

Public Transport

Tempe is on the T4 South Line from Central to the north or Waterfall to the south. If you are travelling on another line, we suggest changing trains at either Wolli Creek or Sydenham. For timetables and more info, check out transport.info.

Active Transport:

The Tempe train station car park is conveniently located along the Cooks River Cycleway. You’re going on a guided ride, why not hop on the bike and take the cycleway to the start?

Car:

Limited parking is available in the train station car park. In order to join the ride, you will need to either bring a bicycle or organise a share bike close by.
