Come and experience the wonders of the Cooks River and Wolli Creek from the water!
To Celebrate the Cooks River Alliance Wurridjal Festival, The River Canoe Club is offering free river tours supported by Canterbury Bankstown Council.
The 2 hour Free Kayaking tours will be approximately 1.45 minutes – 15 mins safety talk and 1.30 mins on the water.
To be accepted on the kayaking tour:
- Participants must be able to swim
- Minimum age 10 years old
- All children (10-16 years) must be accompanied by an adult
- All boats and safety equipment are provided by the River Canoe Club.
Insurance forms and more details will be provided on booking. Tickets available via Eventbrite.
Getting there:
Public Transport
The Canoe Club is a short 5 minute walk from Tempe train station. For timetables and more info, check out transport.info.
Active Transport:
The Club is conveniently located along the Cooks River Cycleway. Visitors can walk, cycle or scoot from Tempe train station to the east or Dulwich Hill train station to the north. Bike racks are available at the Concordia Club.
Car:
Limited parking is available in the car park beside Concordia Club. Part of the car park will be closed during the event. It is recommended to take public transport, active transport or a ride share service.
