Jane Jacobs introduced the concept of “eyes on the street” in her infamous 1961 novel, The Death and Life of Great American Cities. The idea being that more people out and about on city streets, greater safety for residents as people noticed what was happening around them. We think the same rule applies to the Cooks River catchment. YOU are the eyes on the river!
REPORT ISSUES HERE
If you see something wrong on the river, you have the power to notify the proper authority. Pollution, dumped trolleys, sewage incidents can all be reported. If you observe a problem on the river or a creek in our catchment, note as many details as possible (including photos if safe to do so) as this will help the responsible authority to investigate the incident or issue.
