**PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED INTO THE RIVER CANOE CLUB
Immerse yourself in the serenity of Cooks River Reserve as you engage in the practice of yoga along its tranquil banks. Surrounded by trees, the reserve transforms into a haven for mindful movement, guided breathwork, and, most importantly, inner deep listening.
The ancient connection between yoga practices and the spiritual traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities lies in the shared essence of inner deep listening and quiet still awareness. In yoga, these are known as Mauna (silence) and/or Nada yoga (deep inner listening). Additionally, the term, concept, and spiritual practice of Dadirri* (da-did-ree) originates from the Ngan’gikurunggurr and Ngen’giwumirri languages of the Aboriginal peoples in the Daly River region (Northern Territory, Australia).
Join us by the river to engage in yoga – a unique experience that encourages you to move your body, still your mind, and embrace the art of inner deep listening. This special practice allows you to step away from the chaos of everyday life and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of nature.
