Want to learn the correct methods for controlling environmental and noxious weeds? Or how to identify and care for native species? The Binnamittalong Gardens Bushcare group undertake these activities while caring for the important natural environment of the reserve, meeting new friends and learning sustainable environmental practices.
Bushcare groups are community based volunteers who assist Bayside Council in the protection and enhancement of important native bushland in the area. You’ll feel pride of ownership by looking after your own special bushland area that you can see improve over time.
The Binnamittalong Gardens Bushcare Group meets from 9am to 12 noon on the third Saturday of each month at the end of Veron Road, Bexley (entry to the reserve is next to 12 Veron Road). Wear your gardening clothes and bring a bottle of water and hat. Morning tea and all tools and training are provided.
